Recreational Stream Programs

Junior Academy - Introduction to STARSkate

This program allows CanSkaters to work with highly trained RGC Competitive Figure Skating Coaches with National/International experience to learn the technical skills needed to excel in their skating. This program will focus on transitioning CanSkaters to the STARSkate program to learn the fundamentals of figure skating. CanSkate stages 2+ (ages 4-10 years) are encouraged to join.



This program is for the advanced CanSkater that would like to learn figure skating skills in group lessons by Figure Skating Instructors. The program includes off-ice instruction followed by a 45-minute on-ice group lesson 


Junior Competitive

This program is for the STARSkater, levels 1-3, who is geared for taking tests and participating in competitions. The program includes off-ice instruction (fitness, ballet, and off-ice jump) and group lessons in stroking and spins. Designated junior free skate session is available.


Competitive Stream Programs

Intermediate/Senior Competitive

This program is for test and competitive figure skaters at the Intermediate (STARSkate levels 4-10 to Juvenile) and Senior (Pre-Novice+) levels. This program includes on-ice group lessons in stroking/edge and spin classes. This program also features off-ice fitness, including yoga, ballet/stretch, jump class, hip-hop, as well as designated Intermediate and Senior free skate sessions.
