Pickleball

The RGC recognizes Pickleball as one of the fastest growing sports in North America, and we have a strong community of Members who organize camps, clinics, and tournaments! We currently offer set Pickleball times on our Badminton courts, and as part of our Redevelopment Project, the Club will be adding a brand new gymnasium that will be able to provide three additional indoor courts for Pickleball play.

What is Pickleball?
Pickleball is a paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels regardless of athletic background. The game combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong and is played on a badminton sized court using a net of similar height to tennis, a paddle, and a ball. The paddle resembles a giant ping pong paddle while the ball is similar to a whiffle ball. The rules and game are simple for beginners to learn, but develops into a fast and fierce game at higher levels.
