Restaurant Supervisor | part-time

Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Relief Restaurant Supervisor is to lead the customer and Member experience.  The Relief Supervisor will provide additional leadership support and will ensure that service is efficient, friendly and fabulous.  The Relief Supervisor will ensure our Members are comfortable while enjoying our lively, magnetic and engaging environment. 
This position requires exceptionally strong communication and a collaborative approach with all hotel leadership team members and departmental colleagues.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the seamless movement of guests in and out of the restaurant and providing an elevated experience.
  • Provide colleagues with support and direction during their shift to ensure the achievement of our vision and goals. 
  • Ensure the effective implementation of and adherence to RGC standards
  • Support the Restaurant Manager and outlets to ensure the achievement of our financial goals.
  • Resolve guest concerns through service recovery and working collaboratively with fellow leaders and colleagues, to implement change when necessary.
  • Provide communication within the department that is consistent and throughout
  • Assist with the recruitment, training and development of colleagues, with a strong focus on engagement, productivity, health & safety and elevated guest experience.
  • Foster a coaching culture that encourages colleagues to achieve personal and professional success.
Qualifications:
  • Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends.  Hours of work will be scheduled based on business volumes/operational demands and will vary.
  • Minimum 2 years of Food & Beverage experience with some supervisory or lead experience in a high-volume, fast paced work environment. 
  • Post-secondary education in hospitality or business management is an asset.
  • Must have Pro Serve certification and be legally allowed to serve alcohol in Alberta
  • Must be a dedicated, keen and self-disciplined individual with a sincere desire to provide excellent customer service within a high volume environment while maintaining a motivated and organized environment for colleagues.
  • Natural ability to engage in conversation and build positive connections with our customers.   
  • Results oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well in a busy and demanding environment.
  • Must be energetic, enthusiastic and self-motivated.
  • A background check will be required for this position.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
