Every memorable dining experience at RGC begins behind the scenes with our culinary team’s commitment to safe, efficient operations and exceptional cuisine. As a culinary team member you devote to all aspects of food preparation will result in the creation of truly spectacular fare. 

  • Reporting to the Executive Chef & Executive Sous Chef, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 
  • Ensuring high quality and consistency of food preparation. 
  • Act as a role model to junior staff members by maintaining a professional work ethic and displaying sound cooking skills.
  • Strive to advance his/her knowledge, skills and abilities and consistently share these with others. 
  • Maintain proper rotation of product in all coolers to minimize wastage/spoilage. 
    Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment and the minimization of wastage. 
  • Actively participate and promote the RGC department specific initiatives in working towards sustainable operations. 
  • Be health & safety conscious and actively involved in maintaining a safe work environment. 
    Upholds the highest standard of internal and external customer service by demonstrating Best Practices and applying Service Standards at all times. 
  • Sign up as an apprentice and work towards you Red Seal.
  • Other duties as assigned. 
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities  
  • Customer Services focus
  •  Able to put sandwiches together quickly while still keeping them neat;
  • Listens and follows instructions carefully;
  • Willing to be flexible enough to accommodate the wishes of all customers; 
  • Knows the basics of food sanitation and hygiene; 
  • Is able to make basic math calculations quickly and easily; and 
  •  Capable of following basic recipes
