Skating Facility

The Royal Glenora Club facility features a modern, world-class arena for use by our skaters. The area is well ventilated and is suitable for use year round. We have one sheet of ice that is 200 ft x 85 ft in size. The ice is 1 ¾” thick and sits at a chilly yet comfortable temperature of about -7-10 degrees Celcius. The rink features standardized boards, tempered glass, a dehumidification system, and a new sound system purchased in 2016. An asset to aspiring and training figure skaters in our facility is our harness system, which allows skaters to practice jumps safely, knowing that they have the harness to support them the entire time.

Our arena facility has limiting viewing/seating area in the heated lobby of the arena. Benches and lockers are available in the arena lobby to provide a space to get ready to glide to greatness on the ice as many skaters and world-class/Olympic Champions have done at the RGC.

Your child's safety on the ice is our top priority at the Royal Glenora Club. Please click here to read about Skate Canada's Helmet Use Policy, which is in effect at all times while on-ice at the Club.

Skating Harness

Below is a video of one of our RGC Skaters using the skating harness. This harness can be worn by skaters so they can safely learn how to do jumps and different maneuvers.
