Playroom Caregiver | part-time (weekend only)

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Playroom Manager, the Caregiver will provide care to children ages six and under registered in the Playroom. The Caregiver will help lead children through hands-on activities/games, and responsible for supervising children at all times during day-to-day games and activities.
 
Hours of Work:
Part-time hours - weekend availability is a must.
 
Job Responsibilities:

  • Greet/interact professionally with members and children.
  • Provide care to infants and toddlers including diaper changes and snacks assistance.
  • Engage children of all ages with a variety of group activities.
  • Respond to parents inquiries in a timely fashion.
  • Promote health and wellness through hand washing, cleaning of toys, etc.
  • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly environment.
  • Clean and organize playroom and putting away any hazard equipment.
  • Support and assist other team members by conversing and contributing information on an ongoing basis.
  • Understand, demonstrate, and apply RGC’s Core Values and Cultural Standards (S.T.A.R.S.) with all Member/Employee interactions.
 
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • 2 years’ experience working in a childcare environment is preferred.
  • Current CPR Level C, Emergency Child Care, and First-Aid Certification.
  • Pre-employment drug and alcohol test required.
  • Criminal Record Check required.
  • Must be a nurturing, caring, and passionate about working with infants and toddlers.
  • Reliable, collaborative, flexible, and able to take initiative.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
