Job Summary:
Reporting to the Tennis Manager/Head Coach, the Tennis Professional is responsible for all aspects of creating and running the tennis program at the Club.

Job Duties (include but are not limited to):

  • Provide and develop the most comprehensive and inclusive tennis program possible.
  • Responsible for the design, implementation, and evaluation of all services provided by the Tennis Department provided at the Royal Glenora Club.
  • Continually work towards an expanded profitability for the Tennis Department and the Club in general.
  • Effectively promote and enhance the visibility of the Royal Glenora Club to the public when outside the club at tennis related events.
  • Ensure that all tennis members feel that they are an asset to the Club and that they have a say and input into the Tennis Department.
  • Promote all aspects and activities of the Royal Glenora Club through on-going communication with members and staff.
  • Inspect and report to the Tennis Manager/Head Coach regarding any safety concerns or repairs that need to be made to the tennis facilities.
  • Continuously strive to develop coaching skills through scheduled coach education opportunities and exposure to different coaching philosophies and approaches.
  • Understand, demonstrate, and apply RGC’s Core Values and Cultural Standards (S.T.A.R.S.) with all Member/Employee interactions.
 
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Minimum NCCP/Club Pro Level 1.
  • First Aid/CPR/AED.
  • Member in good standing with your respective Sport Association.
  • May require attending off-hour functions.
  • Experienced coaching juniors from the “Fundamentals” to the “Learning to Perform” stages of the LTAD including experience using progressive tennis.
  • National playing level with exposure to international tennis i.e. NCAA is an asset.  


Salary:
Compensation will be based on applicant’s qualifications and experience.
